Right on the Mark...

So... went to Halloween City today, which basically took over the empty Circuit City store. The CC was the newest one here and two months after it opened, CC went out. Everyone knew CC was in trouble AND that these plans and contracts from months ago go forward, but it was just such a weird feeling... kwim? So... we were looking for additions to Tman's costume for this year. But I have to say, I almost abandoned those plans when he put these on. What could be more apropos? After considerable wrangling, cajoling, bribing, threatening, pleading... the boy-o said, "No." But I still had to capture the moment where reality and fantasy touched together ever so lightly in the fall of 2011.
And then, since we couldn't find what we were looking for, we headed out to Michaels (heavy sigh and eyeroll from my DH). They were doing a BuyIt MakeNTake. So there we were right inside the entrance sprawled on the floor with Tulip slick fabric paint, chalk, the shirt, and huge puddle of black paint on a grocery bag. Before it was over, our hands were coated in black paint. Moreover, Tman had gotten black paint on his face, arms, and back of his leg ** shakes head **. We then spent 15 minutes in the restroom washing the paint off and clogging the drain. Tman was more mortified of the fact that there was a girl's birthday party in the classroom and while we were washing up, a whole troop of them pranced into the restroom. He could not shrink small enough, nor beat it out of the bathroom fast enough. Poor dude.
